It is interesting to see how tight you got this one while maintaining the freedom that you are known for... and on top of that you kept the colors so fresh.
I really love how you captured the light on the knee of the exteneded leg. it has become a real focal point to this composition, and i find everything connecting and rotating around this point.
In recent weeks and months i have been so happy to see how you have pushed yourself to certain places that may not have been comfortable for you and like this particular piece when you found yourself in a place you dealt with it... maybe in a way that you never had before.
there is something very honest about this painting... so honest that i could think that it was in fact a portrait of this woman even though i don't think that it was intended to be. but i am guessing that you captured her quite well. not just her likeness but her personality.
i think this is well done.
